SY crossing

Haven't been through SY southbound for some time and will be taking a relative with me. I have permanent status but the rider does not. We need to get a FMT-can we do that at the crossing?

Yes you can! and it's actually pretty simple.

As you enter the new crossing area and still in the U.S. stay near the right lane. The road turns to the left, to the Mexican inspection booths and where you want to go is into the buildings that are on the right. There is a large parking lot alongside the buildings. It's easy inside - get the paperwork, walk a short distance to pay, return and get it stamped and you are on your way!

I have a photo I'll upload to this reply soon as I figure where it is.

I could not find my better copy but on this version, you'll be driving where is says USA, and follow my red line, you park where it ends in a sort of arrow, go inside the building circled in blue - after you get the paperwork, rejoin the line going into Baja.

To park, go into the fenced area with the sign Para Declarar. This is before the gates. The video briefly shows it, where there is a big Mex flag. From there, walk into the building and do your thing.
