Ok OK OK-- Its all just business as usual in Mex. Heres a short version of a little kidnapping tale that was related to me personally by a longtime very closley related and highly trusted friend of mine. In Puerto Vallarta. 10 tears ago my friend who owns a high end clothing company was negotioiatimg a clothes manafacturing deal with a very well estabished manafacturer family in P.V. Over the years he had become close friends with the small and humble family who owned the operation. The local drug cartel boss's kidnapped their 18yo son and demanded a huge ramson. That was paid and the boy was returned unharmed.A few months later the local cartel chiefs got wind that the same family owned outright an old established small hotel in downtown P.V. and kidnapped their 16yo daughter and the ransom for her was the hotel which was paid. It was put in some bogus Columbian companys name. Now the once thriving family was all but wiped out so they turned to all their legal Mexican govt. channels for help at all levels. After fighting dishonest Mexican beauricrats and polticians for 5 years they gave up and moved to Seattle as illigals. They were robbed of over 5 million$ of assets and had know legal recourse. You never know what is really happening for sure sometimes, when it comes to Mex. officialdom. Now do we?

I have been in communication with docthaddeus and I feel that he is a person that came to Mexico with a dream and a project and a lot of enthusiasm. I think he may have been in a hurry to get going and made some critical mistakes such as getting good advice on what he wanted to do and probably others. this is something that most of us have done in the past. what happened to him after that was horrific. and again think he may have made more mistakes in the handling of the situation. I believe his deportation was illegal but that is only my opinion. when this thread got out of control was when Sackmaster stepped in. he advised Thaddeus that I and others here were hi enemy's and so he quit posting for a while. I think that Sackmaster has done nothing but harm to Doc here on the nomads forum.

I take offense of the docs opening comments of stay out of Mexico and it is a lawless terrible place because I have learned to work with the laws and customs here. but I can truly understand how he could feel that way after all he has been through. after all he never really learned how things work here.

I am planing on staying in communication with him and helping him in any way that I can.

I have always believed in what docthaddeus is saying. I think it is very important that who ever helps, they should be shielded from any possible recourse and the best way to do that is make this a very public issue north of the border. docthaddeus stumbled onto a can of worms that no one on this side of the border can stand up against and still enjoy living here.

Be careful Bruce and work with him offline. You have your own family to consider. You're a good man.

Anybody here that believes that Ted and sackmaster arn't the same person hasn't paid attention.
Throughout this drama, I have never said that doc's dilema was unproven.
What I said too often was that doct and sock-puppet are the same person.
I still believe that.
Aside from that, I hope Bruce's instincts are true and that he can be of assistance to Ted.
I wish the man the best from here out. He has seemingly had the worst already.
Ted -- If what happened to you had happened to me or a close friend, I'd be locking and loading.

Regardless of the differences which we have, I wish you success in your quest for justice.

When's the cast party?

Larry.........

In Mexico.......... Yes. This is the only place I know which would support the mystery presented by doct.
I don't believe all that he says but I think he had an experience with the powers that be.
I mean, this is the only place I've ever been where you can get a speeding ticket in a parked car.

I don't think this can happen to Larry or Dennis or even myself because we are pretty savvy to how you do things here. But I have seen this sort of thing happen to other people over the years right here in Mulege. and every time it has been a person that is new to Mexico an jumps right in and starts some kind of business. also they are the type that wont listen to anyone that tries to help them. they expect Mexico will conform to there way of thinking. we have one in the making right here right now that will end in a disaster within a year.but they will not do things the Mexican way and break or bend the laws every chance they get. I am sure you guys must know of a story like this.

Sorry for the change of statement up there but, after a moments thought it seemed appropriate.
Bruce --- Right on. So many times have I seen a new-comer to the area who brings his U.S. mindset and thinks it is so superior to the Mexican way of life that he can supercede the law and overwhelm the local business world with his know-how. Couldn't care les about law and order, his arrogance is more important.
Time and time again.
Most fail. Those that dont, hear from an early point the squeak of the wheel that needs to be greased.
Oh well, we'll get into that later.

Well if you'd like you can respond to the Baja Nomad Toy Drive post, seems like I'm the only one posting if not for a few (very few) others. I don't think that would be a waste of time.
