I see the time posted on all our posts is an hour earlier...not our time. I'm feeling guilty about our sunny skies and no wind but I certainly share the anxiety of those of you in the path.

Just back from the beach. No swim today.
Some sun but mostly cloudy with some gusts to 15. A sprinkle or two.
We did get a little sand blasted on our walk....our anemometer....Eta's tail....straightened out a couple of times.
Stay safe, you nomads north of here. Looks like the Norbert express is coming through.

Not much here in La Paz now, but it looks like its going in below Mag.Bay, so we we have a lot still coming at us.

The Calm Before?

9 a.m. Mulege Pueblo Time:

river just off high tide and moving slowly out to sea
gentle rains beginning
no wind all night long, not a palmleaf is stirring

... and we're ready and off the river

Buena Suerte, jovenes!! Much good luck!!

More wind and rain as he comes ashore.
Still pretty light, no sideways rain.

La Paz is socked in....can't see it across the bay from Centenario, but power still on in Centenario. Windy w/ no rain....at the moment.;)

I really appreciate the fact that this storm was polite enough to hit during daylight hours so I can SEE what's happening, rather than just HEARING it!:bounce:

10:10 AM, La Paz

Power still on in Lomas de Palmira, can still see Mogote, can't see Comitan, occasional gusts of wind from SE, some rain but nothing heavy. This has been a very lightweight event so far and I'm surprised that anyone in La Paz has lost power.

My power went off ~9:45 to everything but the computer, modem, and phone, which are plugged into a power strip. All switches are on at the breaker box and the meter. Neighbors say theirs is off, too, but why would the one outlet still be working? Inquiring minds ...

Wind gusts, no rain at present.

Kate

Kate,

If you have one outlet working, then you still have power.

If you have 220 v. service then you might have lost a leg, Test the service in the box to see if both legs are powered up. If not then you may have had one of the three wired between the casa and the pole disconnedted.

If power in tests hot then ....

Go to the service box and recycle all breakers, there may be a trip that is not noticable to you.
