At 9:30 this morning no pangas remained in the marina at Loreto. At 10:00 the skies opened.

I'd love to see it change direction and head west and get the heck out of here. Wishful thinking!

Wind gusts, no rain at present.

Kate,

If you have one outlet working, then you still have power.

If you have 220 v. service then you might have lost a leg, Test the service in the box to see if both legs are powered up. If not then you may have had one of the three wired between the casa and the pole disconnedted.

If power in tests hot then ....

Go to the service box and recycle all breakers, there may be a trip that is not noticable to you.

Kate....I've got a tester....wanna borrow it? Come git it!:lol::lol:

All you good folks take care. Keep your head Down.

I just got out in time. Left Loreto Thursday to LAX, yesterday to Amarillo . Raining here now.

Had a Great Trip, sorry I did not see everyone. Looked over Mulege and they got hit bad on the South Side. a few weeks ago as well as San Nicholas.

Caboron ... many thanks. I don't have a tester and don't know what recycle means. I tried turning all the switches off, waiting a few minutes, then turning on again. No change. Cant see that any wires are down, but something could have come loose. Wind is too strong now, but I'll call CFE after the storm passes.

Still only sprinkles here, but gusts are strong, mostly from the south or SSE as best I can tell.

Kate

Hey Loretanos
I know that I dont have to tell you that you will be in one of the two the worst quadrant where there will be more wind and rain than the other 2.
So stay safe and be careful if you go outside
Suerte

Here we have a steady wind of about 10 with gusts of more. Some light rain. The ocean is angry looking
There are police in the arroyo stopping people from using the middle of the arroyo road so it must be washed out up behind Sorianos or Rigos.
So far the road to town is open. The mouth of the estuary broke through yesterday so that should give relief to the dams that have been built to keep the road open.

Mulege Update

Not much to say, luckily.

Other than the bit of rain at 8 a.m. this morning and a misting about 10 a.m. still no storm here--
a guarded "Whew!"

the river is in-coming, still no wind, humidity at 75%

we wait...

Rain here in Nopolo now getting serious. Tropical type downpour with 25 to 30mph winds. Looks like this water is going to come down for some time to come. Visibility diminishing rapidly.
And Comitan; I think we will be going halfsies on this storm, with the area around Agua Verde taking a severe hit.
But, what the hell do I know.:no::biggrin:

I think my photographic memory ran out of film

1150 hrs.

Power was just restored in Todos Santos (out for 75 min.)

Just went through the strongest winds of the storm so far ...

No rain , just really fierce winds that are still going ...

Kudos to the power people who got us back up so quickly ...

11:55 Loreto Just took a drive: Juarez is under water for the last couple of blocks before the malecon. A cop is directing traffic at the dueling tortillerias on Juarez. Cars are double parked, lines are winding way out the door. Went into Juarez market--the shelves will be bare before long. The place is packed. Rain is picking up. Most streets have stretches underwater. Lights are on at the phone company; looks like those guys are working hard to keep things running. Still none of those big winds that were predicted. Will we get lucky?
