Several weeks ago Yaqui's owner was kidnapped. Haven't heard more about it. Wonder if the family paid the ransom?

Did the tacos taste the same? ;D

Yeah, I was going to mention that but forgot. Turn right (East) at Waldo Mart and look North. It's right off the main drag.

Had a couple of tacos with Se?or Yaqui yesterday. He was not kidnapped. He chatted about his plans to add a second story patio with table service.

Update on Tacqueria 2000, Rosarito

Paid the Telnor bill today in town.

Tacqueria 2000 is gone, gone, gone.

The sign is still there and nothing else, except gravel.

How far east of Waldo's?

I read the earlier post and looked east from the intersection - didn't see any indicaters of the location.

I have gone east from that corner before, trying to turn around to go south, and the return is a (-b*****- *oops, overstrike*), difficult.

I guess the question is, is the chow worth the hassle to travel off the main boulevard and the maneuvers required for the return?

You will not be disappointed if you stop in El Sauzal at El Trailero taco stand. THE. BEST. Al Pastor and fish. Tables, and there's even a bathroom.

Mystery Solved

Taqueria 2000 has moved, but it is not very close to Waldo's. It is about 3 blocks north of it at the next intersection stop light on Calle Ensenada. It is a few hundred feet back from the main drag. The taco stand on the corner is Tacos Flacos, turn east.

If you are coming on the Cuota, turn to Rosarito Beach where you see the fake cows (statues) advertising milk. That is the street on which Taqueria 2000 faces.

Over Xmas, it was open when Yaquis was not.
