The back up at SY today when we crossed southbound appeared to be pretty close to infinite. That was at approx 2:45 PM. Some lanes northbound were closed. Truth or not about the walk out. Personally, we think it would be great to open up the border!

Well, I don't know what was going on, but we took that new road from Fox Studios to the Otay Crossing. The new road was fabulous, but very desolate! But we sat at Otay for about 90 minutes! I thought this was crazy........I have the SENTRI pass, but passengers didn't......The SENTRI lane seemed to be going slowly, too.....

it took 52 minutes on the nose.
in occasional rain bursts, to boot.

I have a Mexican friend that takes care of my fidi, FM 3, & property taxes. After telling her my DOB was the 28th, she told me my FM 3 Had been revoked. After the heart palpitations stopped, she told me what the 28th was.

Wait until April first............

Yes, it was funny... but since this is an English/ U.S. forum, knowing the date meant 'April Fools' it would have not caused any anguish...:light:

I guess everyone who reads this will now remember to not believe anything outrageous a Mexican posts on Dec. 28th... any more than to believe anything an American posts on April 1st...

especially when misinformation passes for real stuff!
I read this for info,
I read "pocho" for humor.
if someone asks for gas prices and the answer if 50cents a gallon is that funny- I think not!
even one day per year.
oh well, I am the guy that cancelled my Sports Illustrated subscription after they ran several articles on Sidd Fynch, the pitcher that had a 135 mph fastball... told it as truth,
weeks later said, "HaHa- big joke"
I told them that Mad Magazine was a good spot for that kind of factual story.

It's an English, do you mean language or from England. What would that have to do with Dia de los Inocentes?
US forum? Should I or other mexican loged on posters not post something so mexican wich is Dia de los Inocentes? All I did was respond to someones "A newby as you would call" question

Greetings, first post from this new nomad,

Any of you veteran nomads aware of today's Mexican holiday, "Dia de Los Innocentes"? From my brief searches, it has become Mexican version of April Fools. Hoping to hear of local pranksters, above/beyond the usual entertaining & fun posts throughout Baja Nomad.

Thanks for the forum, the information and all of my new neighbors!

The major thing I see here is who posted something outrageous was not mexican, it was FDT a US citizen :lol:
Come on just admit that you want a basket of candy Inocentre palomita.:lol:

What I would like is a smile from all Nomads, Mexican and American, if that is possible.

I was taken in and it took me a while to understand how I could miss this after 50 years.......until I realized that because of our family in otra lado we have neve spent the month of Decembre in Baja..............so I learned something rather neat..................Thanks!

Exactamente, It is just Dia de los Inocentes, a fun thing, all over the country. Fell for it on newspapers, radio or TV, yes, Dia de los Inocentes is a part of the culture. Now, who wants a basket full of candy?
