They have it right.

IF you cannot contribute because of lack of substance, highjacking the thread is unfortunate.

Now back to the question:
Adobe Guadalupe has some white wines of interest.

Stopped in at L.A Cetto and have had some good wine well below the $40 (or even $20) range

Stopped in at Chateau Camou for the first as an appetizer to our Valentine's lunch at Laja. They offer up some excellent wines at decent prices. Their 2001 Zin is particular good. We ended up coming home with a case of wine from there! Oh, and Laja was perfect as always.

I Tried the 2001"Gran Ricardo" from Monte Xanic tonight, it was very good in the style of top quality French clarets.

Are there any decent Mexican table wines like Two Buck Chuck for $5 or less?

best, paul

PS> Years ago (before Two Buck Chuck) I was shopping for wine at Beverages & More in Oakland. I stopped the store manager and said, "You folks turned me on the cheap white wine. What do you recommend?" He replied, "WE turned you on to cheap white wine? What were we thinking?"

The government taxes the heck out of wine as a "luxury" so finding something under $5 that is drinkable is unlikely.
