Have enjoyed turtles.:bounce:Down in the bayou country there's an abundance of 'em.:D Alligator snappers, cooters, soft shells, etc. they're all good. One complaint! Their meat runs in all directions, with no rhyme or reason. :)After a good meal of turtle, toothpicks come in real handy. Eggs? Yea, they're good. :bounce: The best eggs don't have shells.;D Sea turtles are a different story. Have no appetite for sea turtles.:)

Cypress

sea turtle omelet made with a bit of whale meat and fried in baby seal blubber is really special! If you can get your hands on any piping plovers, they're a magnificent side dish.

Now y'all got me hungry, gotta go out on the lake and kill something.

see ya later, burp! :wow:

I agree with George. I think it's the name. Why can't it just be called an omelete?

Without a doubt Skeet, Im sure there is a direct connection between turtles and crack. Kill all the turtles and our drug problems will be solved. What could be easier.

Reading an interesting book about sea turtles.:)The title is "Fire in the Turtle House", by Osha Gray Davidson. After reading this I wouldn't advise anyone to eat turtle meat or eggs. Ever heard of papillomaviruses?:?: Nasty stuff.:wow:

"Through the Lens Darkly" comes to mind when reading the majority of Skeet Shots.

It appears that the majority of the world's problems have at their roots "Spoiled" American Youth wasting their undeseved allowances and engaging busily in acts of Debauchery, Drunkeness and Drug consumption in defiance of the WORD handed down from the Mount.

Get those kids under control and the world will be safe for all, including the turtles.

If Dorado became "rare" I would stop eating it - without question! It is an issue of biological diversity - amoungst other things. It is BAD to imperil a species. One only needs to look at the shark fishing practice and the ripples felt by ither species (comercial or not) to see the implications.

I DO symphathise with people who strugle to put food on the table.

Thank the maker that Dorado grow relatively fast. If/When eating/catching them becomes non-sustainable I WILL/WOULD stop eating them.
