My vote for Juan's Mita's restaurant. And love listening to Herzon playing guitar. Rather hot evening in July when we were there for a week, but was
well worth it. The 'fresh catch' was out of this world. Probably meal #22 or something like that. Consistantly good quality & service.
Our second choice is to go up to second story of La Luna on Juarez, and he'll produce a menu from the restaurant down below (sorry forgotten the
restaurant). He's good company, and the food has been good. Looking forward to the western bar & restaurant beng open when we return in October,
just on the road to San Javier. Great hamburger & fries, and on Sundays, eggs benedict. Yum yum.

Sta Lucia on the malecon is very good for breakfast (open at 6am! amazing...gringo breakfast hours!) and lunch. no dinner service. good whole wheat
home made breads and sweet rolls, croussants, etc for take out also. service can be exquisitely slow so be prepared to settle in, watch the water
and sip a drink. take a book. the healthy smoothies and the home made lemonade by the pitcher are recommended.
reality\'s never been of much use out here...

Ditto on Santa Lucia-- great smoothies and the enchiladas de pollo en mole are delicious!

I was there a few weeks ago. Food was great. service and accuracy of order was inconsistent. We enjoyed & will go again.

What ever happened to El Taste? Did the prices go way out of control, or food quality go downhill? I liked it before they re-modeled it.Mario is a
really nice guy tho...

Sally, the prices did go up at El Taste, quality more or less the same. Maybe more less than more. Francisco, the good waiter is a panga captain
now, and I've heard that Mario has left too. I agree that it was much nicer before re-modeling.

We quit going to El Taste, when we learned that his wife no longer was the cook there. Loved the breakfasts though. Guess she went to work somewhere
else. If Mario is gone, perhaps he is working with his wife??????????????????????

Mario is gone from El Taste and has been for about 4 months. One of my previous students has been an employee there for a couple of years and
reported that the new management has change meat suppliers (cheaper) and changed the prices (higher) it was absolutely horrible last time we went in ,
we did complain to the new manager and do not eat there any longer.
Talked to Alejandro of Picazon today and they plan to reopen in about two weeks.
Mike at Del Borrocho reports they will reopen Oct. 2nd
Leon and Ali of Pachamama plan to will reopen Oct. 5th
As for the Giggling Dolphin (and Iguana Inn) quien sabe?

LOL. I had a great meal yesterday at Santa Lucinda, albeit not what I ordered to eat. It has a great view of the water, outstanding food and very
reasonable.
