Dern says that if we're there at the right time, he'd like to play.
I want to caddy with Dennis or fish in the lake.
EGL, you and the Barbinator can stay with us.

I am in for sure. I have only been playing golf for a couple of years now, but really enjoy it. Baja Bound would also be happy to sponsor the event
too. I think sometime in spring would be great! Let's do this!
Scramble format maybe? (Good for us golf newbies!!!)

Lips, from my early investigations, there is a dearth of golf enthusiasts here. I suggest expectations along the format of Punta Banda Yacht Club.
Of 200+ PBYC members, I believe only approx 1 dozen boats are owned. Any guesses what the other 188 do?

Maybe we should get a list going of Nomads that are interested and then post an announcement when we have a date set. We should also consider posting
in the General Discussion section too....since I am sure there are other Nomad golfers that would be interested that have not seen this thread yet!

Great idea Geoff. Im sure we can get plenty of hackers if we announce the tourney when we are ready.
I saw Bajaguy at his house today at BCC and we are going to have lunch tomorrow so we can get started on some plans.
And Doc, the other 188 yacht members drink all day so maybe we can get them to play if we offer booze with the fees!
I played 9 holes with my son today and no one else was on the front nine but us.........There is nothing like having the course to yourself.

I, too, usually shoot in the low 70's.......gets any hotter than that and I stay in the clubhouse...
Really! What's my handicap, you ask? Every club in the bag!
Seriously, I shot an 83 last time out. On the back nine I did a bit better!
Young fellow was put with an old guy to golf with. On the fifth hole the young fellows ball was behind a tall tree and the green was on the other
side. The young fellow didn't have a shot under the tree and was looking around for a way out when the old guy said, "When I was your age, I'd play a
pitching wedge and give it all I had. Generally landed right on the green." The young fellow thought about it then grabbed his wedge. He stood over
the ball intensely, then with every ounce of strength, he brought the club down hard. The ball quickly rose up into the air, hit near the top of the
tree and came down a few feet from the young golfer. He looked at the old man. The old man replied, "Well, when I was your age, that tree was a lot
smaller, also."

Good one. When it comes to trees, I try to keep in mind the fundamental fact that they are 90% air.

LL,
BCC looks happy this morning from my perch 10 miles west. I'll alert you
when I see Santa's sleigh approaching so that you have all of the little ones in bed before arrival.
