I don't think theres a 12 step program that would work for a Baja addiction.

yea, that's the thing about a 'program"... you actually have to want to get OUT of that situation.

maybe there's a REVERSE Baja 12-step......... you know, each step gets you one step closer...

(When and where do we meet? I'll be a charter member...)

PS- Hi Paulina, welcome to the new Baja 12-step...:tumble:

I am a million percent obsessed with MEXICO!!!!! Not, baja really but even tho TJ is an absolute hell hole and some horrible things have happened to me there, my best friends live there and I miss them horribly and wanna go back to visit them and to evangelize to the downtrodden there even tho it's scary there. My friends can't come here and I do have some good memories there.

I am so addicted to Mexico that for almost 12 yrs I've wanted to live there and always have liked it there better than the U.S., altho I'll never give up my U.S. citizenship no matter what. I can't live in Mexico now cuz my youngest daughter is only 13 yrs old. Her dad won't let me take her to visit there anymore. Grrrrrr! I can't stand him!

I spend tons of time every day on various Mexico forums and look at Mexican real estate every day. I talk about and pray for Mexico (and ask others to pray too) frequently. I've been fantasizing about eventually living there ever since my first visit in June 1996. Mexico has been my number constant all consuming obsession ever since.

There is cheap real estate all over Mexico and I expect to live there some day. Merida looks pretty good price-wise but my fave place on the planet is Oaxaca!!!! I hope my youngest daughter will choose to come with me but doubt if she will. I don't know if I can bear living that far away from her when she's grown up but I'm not happy living here and wanna live there sooooo bad! Aaaaauuuuggggh!
Sigh...

Enough to live here full time, except for our summer "vacation". Been here 8 years after 30 years of visits and would not consider going back. The quality of life here, priceless.

I love Baja! Crazy about it or why would I lurk on this forum. I have a lot in San Felipe and will build there someday and use it as a base for further Baja Explorations. Have my Baja souviners all over the house. Had my Got Baja? and San Felipe bumper stickers on my old rig, but now I've got a new rig with no stickers (yet)....what did I get....Toyota FJ Cruiser....named it BOB...Baja Or Bust! Can't wait to have more time to spend down there with you all.

Whenever I hear that rainy, chill wind blow. I think it may be time to head for Mexico. Tengo que obedecer mi corazon!

I get teased about it all the time. My 50th birthday was Mexican themed. Everytime I meet someone from Mexico, I want to be their new amigo. Typical comment: What is it with Roger and Mexico? I still remember my first post here when I came back from a trip to Cabo and asked the question: I can't stop thinking about Baja, What's going on with me? David K's response: You've got Baja Fever! YES! Someone understands me.

Yes... there are many of us who understand you Roger... We all have it, too!

You fit in with Baja addicts very well! Here you are listening to serious Baja addicts Graham Mackintosh and Baja Angel at Viva Baja Cactus 2006, The Tijuana Brewery Tavern:
