It's been dumping rain on this side, Jim.
Well, we need the rain badly. And it should bring up the mushrooms nicely by the weekend ... The hedgehogs should be coming up and maybe a few
chantrelles - if I get lucky.

Looks like you had a great vacation, Igor. Even with the catch-release mindset, I'm surprised you kept only one for eating. I love cabrilla! Would
have had to eat some every day.
I can't get over your son - how fast he's growing - a full-fledged teen now! Seems like the bigger Alex gets, the bigger fish he catches.

When Alex was young I would bellow out my songs over the roar of the motor to fit the occasion. This one came from West Side Story. I wouldn't try
that now, but a 7-year-old is much more forgiving.

Thanks very much for the Cabrilla tutorial! I will remember to bring the heavy gear when fishing for those brutes! I need to practice casting with a
50# rig as well.
It's fun watching your son grow with each new trip report you post! I think he has a future as a photographer as well!

The Longfin has a huge selection of swimbaits and jigheads! I leave there with a much lighter wallet every time. My wife loves the swimbaits because
there is no live bait stench, or even worse to her, frozen squid! I own an
automotive shop in Orange. If any Nomads are in the area,U2U me and stop by some time. Always ready to spend time talking about Baja and fishing. The
Longfin is only a couple miles from my shop.

HOla amigo...great info...gonna try that. Juan loves swimbaits too. I just cant believe how big Alex is...man they grow fast eh! I too enjoy seeing

I'd like to turn Juan on to some flyfishing on that secret beach of yours for corbina. I could bring down my fly tying kit and we could tie some
patterns and generally experiment to see what works best. That would be this coming summer. I think he'd enjoy that.
