Don't know about step-child but Mexico did make the conscious decision to become our 'pimp'.
I suppose there should be a consequence for that.

OK, that's easy, if foreign aid makes for step childern, the US probably has a couple hundred of them and if the amount is significant, Mexico is
insignificant. Currently Israel, Iraq, and Afghanistan are our most significant step childern using your somewhat curious logic.
