One problem is that Leidys needs coverage from the sunlight. Her skin breaks out with too much exposure. Memorial Day weekend is too soon, as her
paperwork won't be ready until early June. We would gladly rent a hotel and visit you in the late afternoon through evening though.
The reason San Felipe doesn't fill the bill is that Leidys wants to go out at night, get dressed up, and dance to Salsa music.

So does that mean no more Pole Line Road Trips? DK hasn't taken his new Toyota on one yet.

Pole Line 2010 is in late November. I'm dying to get back on the trail.
She might have a difficult time with the sun next April, but we'll work something out so that she stays protected from the sunlight.

Most of you may not know, but I am of Brazilian descent ... I was born in the US of Brazilian parents .... the interesting thing about Lula (pres of
Br) is that he can not even speak Portuguese correctly - he was born dirt poor and rose up by supporting the voice of the laborors
He has made it his mission to end hunger in Brazil during his term and as far as I understand, he has met this goal
It will be interesting to see the movie ... for sure we are being taught to fear Hugo Chavez on TV ... and for so many years we all feared Castro via
the media too

Hmmm. It's not really a review of the movie. The author is not a NYT movie reviewer. It's more of a critique of Stone, his politics and methods. That
said, Many, if not most countries in South America witness immense poverty among their people. Even in the more economically developed countries such
as Brazil and Argentina. A vast disparity exists between a relatively small wealthy class and a very large underclass. Those of us familiar with
Mexico can relate to that.
The US has long ago taken its ineffective and cruel boycott of Cuba to a point of ridiculous. I can understand, given the nexus of the Cuba
experience, the height of the cold war, Soviet intervention, Etc., we have long memories. I just think it may be unfair to try and link Chavez with
Castro. Unfettered free markets and private enterprise may not hold the solution to eliminating the rampant poverty in South America. And perhaps
Chavez' socialist attempts will also fail. But, if they do, and there are a number of examples pointing to its failure down the road, in my opinion,
that failure should emanate from within, and not by foreign intervention.
It wasn't that many years ago that the US supported dictators throughout the central and South American region. It just seems to me that seeing Chavez
employ, subject to your own personal opinion, quasi- democratic means to effect change in his country represents a less onerous method than did the
brutal dictators of the past.
Americans need to have that knee-jerk checked out by a shrink.

I love that they have taken on the name "tea baggers". The modern connotation of the term fits them well. Send in your photos of being tea bagged.

I finally was able to rent this DVD, and it provided a fairly lopsided/shallow view of S. American politics. Pretty bad documentary.

Not a documentary, but more of a propaganda film. I found it very interesting but definitely bent to the support Sean Penn's liking. I do however,
have to say that Brazil has done some pretty amazing things over the past few years. Between their reduction of non-reliance on foreign oil and a
switch to alcohol based fuels, there economy is rocking. They have connected with China and are doing some pretty amazing things.
