Nice job of capturing their beauty, Diane.

Thanks---and it is good to be slow and pay attention---it is the getting up and down to take a closer look that gets more difficult.

Wow Diane and John,
I just love taking a trip with you. I get to see so much. I think I will get out and walk the property and see what I can see. That is just some beautiful stuff. Thanks for the trip.

Thank you Irene---it is amazing what one sees when one looks closely. I am sure there are lots of hidden little plant beauties around your place.

Hope that business is picking up----maybe some of the better news stories will help.

Diane

OK, I've been slaving away this past week and finally have photos up on my website of the trip we took to Bahia Asuncion that Diane describes in above posts.

http://www.lasecomujeres.org/plants/asuncion01.html

You can see plants with their names (Latin and common if available) and also some of the scenery where we saw the plants.

Enjoy!

[Edit]: P.S. Forgot to mention that all pages are available in Spanish.

Diane, thank you ever so much for posting your tour. i know hardly anything about the flora and fauna of baja but you have opened my eyes and i will now look closer at " WEEDS ", as in my tiny mind for such things.

LONG WINDED, NOT AT ALL, what a wonderful and perfect narration and photography !!!!

i will definitely slow down and smell the roses and try and expand my journeys in baja !

i thank you for this education.

Baja Desert Rat and Mulegena----thank you very much, really happy you enjoyed this. We learned so much and cannot wait to do it again.

Debra you put in A LOT of work on those web pages and we so appreciate it. I am working on the common names---Latin names, well maybe--- but at least I will be able to say something more than cute little purple flower.

Next time, we will try to find even more species!

Mulegena, you deserve thanks too for connecting me with Chris and his work out at Asuncion. We all had a fantastic time in the field and getting to know each other.

Glad you liked my web pages from the trip. Next task: pages for Cataviņa the week after we were in Asuncion! Gazillions to see there too.

How is Mulege?

Debra

Terrific as usual!....thanx
I, too, have many photos of the small flowers on ground cover; however I have nothing to compare with yours. I have always been fascinated by them too.

Thanks Judy. Having a macro lens opens up a whole new world of these tiny treasures.
