On average, it is cooler on the ocean side and while in the afternoons we more often have more wind, there are times it is calm on the ocean side and it blows like crazy on the bay side.

Like so many places, it is most often an afternoon wind. However, in the Spring, the wind is apt to blow all day on both sides. Then again, that can happen other times of the year, but usually only for a day or so.

We prefer the ocean side as we are not heat lovers and when the bay side heats up, and it is really hot in town, we usually are cooler with the ocean right there. We have a couple of ceiling fans and it is not too often that we need them. Really hot is a relative term --- not hot like La Paz.

The weather is not easy to describe as it changes so often and day by day. And it can be different in our front yard compared to our back yard. We joke about having our own micro-climates.

BTW--don't ever believe the internet weather sites that report on Bahia Asuncion weather as it is a joke. One of the sites, I forgot which one right now, always has weather for Bahia Asuncion and it has nothing to do with reality. One of our friends finally contacted them and they admitted that they do not have any weather station near.

We do have a friend who has a weather station set up near San Roque, but there again, the weather can be completely different there!

Hour to hour, day to day and mile to mile, the weather changes.
