Yeah....Anita, you sure came into this like a bull. A nice note saying...."Hey....could you give us some credit please"....would had been cool.
I have posted MANY articles from the BLANK.com/mex web newspaper....and given the credit to your paper. There are times that I didn't...oversight.
Since I know a few folks from BLANK.com/mex personally....I'll let them know what a great PR job you are doing for the paper.
What happen the the weather page at BLANK.com/mex? It's all so messed up...used to be straight forward when my neighbor, Shirley Thompson, was doing
that part? She was great.
I'll promote Randy's website from here on out for good information about San Felipe http://www.blueroadrunner.com/

I agree with you sancho......about the correct way that is :-) Oversights do happen.....and that's all that it was. Look at the historic
archives...anyone will see me giving BLANK.com.mex credit.....but I will now give randy at http://www.blueroadrunner.com/ the PR.
I dont like the Mexicali jail....their room service sucks. :-)

So being a photographer and having to deal with this every time I get enlargements for some of my commercial customers who need images for shows etc.
Most photo printing locations will not enlarge any photos that look commercial without proof that you hold the copyright.
So here are some of the basic rules around photographs that can help:
1. Make sure you setup your copyright in your cameras so the EXIF file attached to your image supports your claim
2. If you have a public photo on the Internet make sure it shows your copyright, if it doesn't, no matter how bad the photo is, it can be used by
anyone because it is in the public domain.
3. Even if a photo is copyrighted and it is taken from the Internet, it can be used , if, a certain percentage of change is made to it. I don't
remember the amount of change, but it is less than 50%
So if you use photoshop and add layers of different information it can be used. Kind of like musicians sampling other artists music to make a new
song, totally legal.
I checked and there is a copyright on sanfelipe.com that states all information is copyrighted.
Also you can not take a photo of an individual that is used for commercial purposes without a model release.
Ps I do have some photos from the construction a week ago that I will upload later

I am protecting "rights," but copy written would have to do with writing not the rights of a photo.
So it is correct

We locals call those continually stirring up the pot as San Felipe 'Californiacators'. If they keep it up, we will no longer be known as a quiet
little drinking town with a fishing problem (Copywrite lurkers: I stole that phrase from a T-Shirt :-)

I suppose any improvement is good. Reminds me of the work they did on the malecon in LA Paz a few years back. What La Paz has today is quite
beautiful.
However, the diff is that when La Paz undertook the rehab of the malecon, it was already a grown-up city. Just don't know what an enhanced malecon is
gonna do for a place where ATVs run roughshod all over the place, kicking up dust in town.

We were in Puerta Vallarta for Christmas and they redid the malecon and it was really nice.
Instead of having all of the one way traffic zipping by why your trying to eat, all you hear now is the ocean.
They removed all of the street and replaced it with uplit palm trees and pavers for foot traffic.
It is really relaxing in comparison to the way it was

That thing in San Felipe does not meet the specifications or definition of a "malecon". In my humble opinion.
