You can pick that same car up in Vancouver in 8/10 condition for about $1500 easy.
I had one about nine years ago i bought for $500 and it was an eight out of ten for sure.

I should qualify that statement by saying,,no visible rust,,unrestored driveable clean condition.

i had a 1946 convertable. It was given to me for cleaning out the garage for the widow of one of my coworkers at China Lake. Even came with a spare engine and only need a new top and upholstery. I sold it for $500 to a guy from Texas Instruments who jumped in it and drove to Texas just the way it was. I think that today it would bring around $60k.
Bodystyles Average Sale
Convertible Coupe $65,525
Sedan $7,000

Mine was yellow with a green top

Auto Servicio JONNY in Rosarito

Rene Ortiz Campoy No. 30 (Turn toward the ocean at the Banamex corner, the entrance is about 100 feet down the one-way street.)

Tel: [52] 661 612 1033

He's been our mechanic for more than ten years.

One of our neighbors was supplementing his retirement by buying and restoring classic cars and he always used Jonny.

Ensenada Yonkes

Or is it Yonkies????

Hey, Rat............

From Ensenada, take Hwy 3 toward San Felipe...as you are leaving the main area of Ensenada and climbing the hill, there are 3 or 4 GIANT auto wrecking yards (Yonkes or Scrappers) along the highway........they might have what you are looking for.........it seems they have everything else.

And I think you will have a bucket full of problems trying to get that beast imported into the US......YMMV

It's really easy in Ensenada most of the Yonke places are hooked up on a HOT LINE like in the U.S. it eliminates a lot of wasted time looking around.
