Well, THAT went well!
I didn't intend to pick on anyone. But I know that I did. So to Ged and Diana, my appologies.
It would be nice if we had to guess at anyones political leanings, or fallings, and just limit ourselves to talking about baja. There are plenty of
other venues to get our political spleens aired on.
Perhaps this whole board should go to FaceBook, where we can push a button and not see anyones postings that raise our blood pressure beyond it's
recommended level?
Or, we should just resist the urge to go see what that person that annoys us has said NOW?
I'll shut up now, and take my dreams for utopia to work.

I admit that I'm not totally objective, but I just didn't read anything here, in anyones posts, that should have inspired the gang tackle that was
directed at DK. I agree that he tosses out some zingers from time to time, and that his political views aren't a secret, but at least limit the DK
bashing to threads in which he has brought it on himself.
Stalking him from thread to thread, and disagreeing with whatever he posts is just creepy bullying and, IMHO, doesn't belong here.

Seems what you inspired was a decades old poster that the commies are taking over. Keep trying

Wow!
I though I was skimming through the Off Topics here :-)
McFez has communicated with DavidK outside of the BN here.......and he is really a swell guy. Much of the depicted opinions of him being a negative
person is outright BS.
On the other hand......Islandbuilder (and wife) are really great folks too. He was at my farm a month ago....and he was nothing but a jolly good guy.
Both of these men are decent. let's lay off of then instead of doing a dog pile....................

Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.

he attracts attention because he is the most prolific poster in nomadistan, and he is opinionated,...
no one stalks him, he is everywhere all at once!

Well, David....you made your move....
I will no longer comment on your political ideology from this time forward.
I believe it is a mental health issue for you at this time and that is none of my business....Good luck with your paranoid delusions
Don't believe everything you think....

your response does not make me think you are very open and accepting of different viewpoints

Whatever....
FYI,
I just returned from three wonderful weeks on mainland Mexico....so the blood in my veins has thinned and I am warm enough.
Thanks for the invitation to visit but I will pass....these days I am preferring to avoid and remove toxic elements from my life.
Thanks for your Baja contributions...not the other stuff.
Also, I don't believe I am a Stalinist....but my Grade 10 teacher called me a Bolshevik because I didn't follow all the rules....

rescue dog, but the other dog with the festering infected eye looked pretty sad too.
I will pass this along to my wife so she is aware of the circumstances as well since she was very distraught and concerned about it. If we make it
back there I may have to give them another chance, although we really liked the Princess Hotel. Thanks for passing this along, I appreciate knowing
the rest of the story.

Back to the original topic (if I may). I first stayed there about seven years ago and it was great. Went back about three years ago in the fall -
Roger and Jean (?) were both gone and had some kids running the place - it was a disaster.
Very hard to trust your "baby" to someone else . . .

Well, since we're back on topic .....
I also visited the place and saw much of what Jaybo saw (less the dogs) but had a different reaction to it. Nobody was around. I walked up and down
the property calling out without any response. The paint bucket was left open drying in the sun. The ladder was leaning askew at the side of the
building. There was a rubble of things piled on top of one another in the yard. Dogfood scattered over the linoleum in the kitchen.
And I thought .... What a cozy place. Nobody's in a rush to do anything. Everything's left half undone. This is exactly how I envisioned my retirement
to be in baja. Lazy. Mellow. Sleepy. Restful.
It never entered my mind that this was an invitation to a thief.
Everyone has their own version of heaven, I guess.

BTW, David, it's too bad you can't read Russian because this has nothing to do with your message.
These were WWII posters warning citizens to not give any information to the occupying German forces. It was a matter of national security that could
and did cost lives, and prolonged the war. This poster is about espionage, knowing and unknowing.
