If you are planning to do cabo in a week driving trip, i suggest you do what i did: drive down and fly home, and at cabo give your car to a friend who flies down and drives home. pretty enjoyable trip to drive 1-way in 1 to 1.5 weeks. jamming the 2-way drive into 1 week means you spend 4 to 6 days to sitting in car.

alternatively, since you just want to be in cabo and todo, suggest you fly in and rent a car.

Eyefuel, Check out the thread about IVO info. It will dry out soon. However the drive to the tip just got longer. The bridges will have a drive around, but it will take longer to get to CSL. Any road report before this week end should be disregarded.

Excellent advice for a location. Driving down to Cabo and back simply will not happen..............as far as a vacation.

Let me add to David's comment:

May be too hot :-(

This entire thread gives me heartburn. One really cannot drive to Cabo and back in a week, and still stop along the way. Not unless you get to Cabo and immediately turn around and head back.

Abreojos is considerable distance off the main highway, for example. And you have to double that time and distance, in and out.

For an old fart such as myself, I can tell you that I really speed through virtually all of the flat and straight stretches of the highway(sometimes over 100 mph). But even doing that, if we do spend seven days in Cabo, we end up with a 12-13 day trip. Even if all you do is stop to eat and sleep, it takes a long time down and back.

You really need to figure out how you can add more time to your trip, or just do not go that far South.
