Soju? Makgeolli? Dugyeonju? Those are the only things I ever drank on my many trips there.


Did soju, soju with the gensing, etc, the snake one etc but was referencing the lager beer. Germans were on the peninsula as Lutherans and Catholics, acted as a buffer between the Koreans and the Japanese invaders, are still appreciated for it,..and influenced beer. Have not been back since 2011/2012 when I retired but went back and forth for about 27 years. The Olympics really changed the place.
