Yes, solar apparently -- as you can see below. Things looked to be in decent shape (if a bit old and weathered) with no obvious weather damage or
vandalism. There were some piles of old equipment inside the fence. I didn't poke around too much -- I was mainly up there for the view!

Thanks Geoffff, the pictures tell a lot. I hope to be back there at the end of the year and would like to get up there.
There does appear to be a power line and transformer in the far right of the picture. I wonder if power is in the area.

Well, looking back at my photos, I see do some other photos showing power going up the hill. And, those power lines continue down the road towards La
Purisma.

Wow, I could not remember them. If you look at my first picture leaving the La Purisima/San Isidro area they are there but the only thing I remember
near the mtn is the lookout tower a little further south. I may assume this is how electricity gets to Comondu instead of from hwy 53 to the SW.

I don't remember seeing that lookout tower back in 2012 -- so yes, very new. Any theories as to what it's for? Looking for cross-peninsula drug
smugglers?

TW.... great report and photos! Loved it....
The SAME boiling water that softens the potato hardens the egg. It's about what you are made of NOT the circumstance.

Coco's
Great report!! I am planning a trip down to Baja soon, I will be stopping by Coco's to get him to sign my Dust to Glory DVD. I would like to bring him
something to help him out, what could he use or need down there?
Thanks
Seth

He is always in need of cat food so we take him a big bag when we go that way. Also he likes chocolate chip cookies, instant coffee and chicken soup.
