Where can I get instructions as to how to change to other news outfits that will make me smart (or smarter)? One caveat: don't be sending me places where I get too smart for my britches -- mama warned me about that one (at least).

Can you be "just about as smart as your britches?" Would that be a better thing than "Too smart?"

A scary thought ... those who don't watch TV ... WOW ,... must be at "grunt" level for sure .... say, maybe that's where the rock throwing comes in ....

Just saying :biggrin::biggrin:

Want info sifted a little finer than usual?

Dial in the BBC.

MSNBC versus Fox is like comparing BORDERLAND BEAT to THE NATIONAL INQUIRER

There is documentation. When Roger Ailes was in the Reagan administration, he proposed a vehicle to control the minds of folks using disinformation.

Fox News is nothing more than a Republican party propaganda organization catering to old white folks.

Roger was successful.

Where do I get some MISINFORMATION? It must be very valuable since Roger Ailes is able to sell it for a fortune and nobody else can. Wow. If there was anything I was born to do it would be that (I'm a fiction writer don't ya know).

I try not to be the first to twist a thread but if the banter is well written, witty, wise or entertaining I can't help but push the crooked thing along sometimes.

I go find something else to do when the posts are just gripes, personal attacks or nonsense. (much like the 8,000 Nomads who have lives of their own)

Guy, people always like fire folks, they get kittens out of trees for the little kids. People dislike LE as they give out speeding tickets to those who never exceed the speed limit. They also put only innocent people in prison. Just ask any prisoner. They all will tell you how innocent they are, and the cops framed them.

Why do Liberals insist and demand that achievers pay the way for nonachievers who are to lazy to succeed, or are just failures by their own choice?

Criminals prefer unarmed victims, dictators prefer unarmed subjects.

Why do ignorant people continue their blabbering when it only proves to others how stupid they are.

Not at all impossible given the Fox demographic that consists mostly of white men over 60. They play to their fears.

You know. As the US demographic continually marches toward white folks being in the minority, Fox and the Tea Party in particular have grabbed onto the idea that an illegitimate black president needs to be dealt with. (Thanks alot Koch Bros)

Anyone who is a student of history understands that when Obama was elected the first time, the entire right wing held meetings to plan how he would never again be re-elected. Never happened before in the entire history of the US.

And let's not forget what opiates the religious systems have delivered over the years. Better now than the last millennium (I mean can you imagine being executed for not being a believer?). And then there's North Korea and N-zi Germany----by all means people can be controlled by misinformation. Hell, the first thing they do in war is demonize the enemy.
