We rode out to Rincon around BoLA on a day ride last week. They have a guard gate at the entry. He asked what we were doing and we said we just
wanted to go to the beach. He let us in but said we had to be out by 4pm when he was leaving and asked us not to go near the houses. Sounds good we
said.
We road two bikes slowly through the neighborhood and made it down to an opening on the beach. A truck with us pulled in about 10mins later.
My son rode on the beach for about 3mins right by the truck.
Some gringa woman from a nearby house came out and just stared at us. A piercing stare. I sat in the bed of the truck drinking a beer and waved at
her. No expression change, no movement. A blank mean stare for 10mins straight. Finally she and another woman came over. The 2nd woman explained
that they had just raised and graded the road into Rincon and asked us kindly to not tear it up with our bikes, which I agreed to.
The 1st one tersely asked us 30 questions about who we were, why were there, who we knew, where we were from, did we live in the Bahia, on and on. I
mostly just said we'll be leaving soon and ignored her. Wow, she was something else. The Mexicans I was with were pretty furious. I'd still like to
kick her in the burro for being a burro.

I waved. I was friendly. The 2nd lady had a concern and I acknowledge it and was polite and said we'd try to ride off the road when leaving.
But yeah, I wasn't going to be belittled by the 1st lady. So I just mostly kept my mouth shut and assured her we'd be leaving soon. What the hell
else did you want me to do? Trust me I bit my tongue as did everyone there.

Hold on- it sounds like they stayed on the beach, near the truck, as the guard instructed.
Beaches in MX are public property, open to all, so if they stayed on the shoreline they were breaking no law.
Sound carries, so perhaps the women heard them from a distance and came over closer to them, to investigate.

Near vs. nearby. You enter the neighborhood and you are "nearby" any house. We were way away from the house.

It still is that way, as of 3 months ago. There are 2 open areas (very tiny ones) just before Cabo Pulmo. If you drive by too fast, you'll miss them.

I stayed at Alfonsinas last night. We arrived about 8:30 pm and drove up to the security gate. I talked to the guard and asked if they had any rooms
available. He radioed the hotel and they had rooms. We drove in and the restaurant was closed and dark. I asked about possibly eating and they opened
the restaurant for us and whipped up some beef burritos for us! First class service all the way!

went to rincon last week. told the guard we just wanted to look around he smiled we smiled he waved us by. drove to the end and on the way back out
met a couple sitting by their garage got out introduced ourselves and let them know we meant no harm they invited us to sit down and we had a very
nice 1/2 hr talk.
Bikes and beaches are like house boats and jet skis where we come from sometimes the twaine don't meet both valid uses but one generally bothers the
other.
also sounds like good road bad road fits in here.

We were given one of those for each truck when we stayed there for 4 days last month. Was useful for quick trips to the liquor and ice store.
