Think that's tough? I know a lot of Mexicans who have been in the system over ten years and still waiting to get their residency. We tell them to get in line and get into the country legally like the rest but the reality is the system is a complete mess. Whatever your idea on immigration, the system needs a major and complete reform...

Tell that to the doofuses that claim to be the Republican party.

And yeah, your avatar is interesting, but, it's obviously not a picture of you.

Crossed north San Ysidro today at 6:42PM. Border crossing app showed user reports of 1 hour 40 minutes in regular lanes.

We waited 6 minutes then another 5 while the guy in front of us got sent to secondary because he did not have the proper docs.

Looked like they are still on schedule to have it all work done by 2018. :saint:

When its done it will be like Walmart, 25 checkout counters but only 5 open!
Has anyone ever seen all the checkouts at any Wally World open at once?
What makes anyone think it will be any different at the crossing?

I hate that people are used as a pawns in a chess game. Both sides are are looking for votes next election. It's about power not about what right.

It's been almost 13 years and neither side has done anything but posture and let the unions and the contractors make a bunch of cash. There is now a border security industrial complex that will do all it can to keep the good USA spending.

The difference is; in short time, Wally world will have a bunch of self checkout stations with no paid people needed. Good for check out but bad for people needing jobs. The port will never be able to have self check-in stations. Will always have a government employee there (if only to make jobs).
