DK, you prolong the insanity (feeding the trolls) by answering back. Sometimes, nothing to say is better

Just in the last few years...the route from Downtown Mexicalli to San Felipe has improved 100%. The drive south of SF is even better now. I recommend
going south. Festivals are better managed now...including a great clean up crew during the day and night.
Malecon was redone....must say that is better too. Cal Max supermarket is really great.....new off the main drag. The plus of this outfit is that they
hire the old folks to bag the groceries. They rely on the tips. They way they have these folks line up to access the cashier ports...is very
interesting itself.
While we all have our favorite sots to eat at...I strongly recommend the 'Vag' restaurant that sits across the street of the OLD harbor . Order the
"Volcano" for one hell of a great meal. Excellent service.
The economic downfall of several years ago really hit this town deeply....many vacancies and abandoned buildings.

haven’t planned anything yet. |
Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.

Vag question
McFez - we'll be in SF in a few weeks and have really had a great meal at the Vag....However a few months ago the meal, well, it sucked. Maybe just an
off day or change in cooks or who knows what?
If your recommendation is from recent experience we'll give it another try.
It is a nice and relaxing place, the waite staff is entertaining.....
Hoping it is back to what it was two years ago.
another question - what about El Nido - used to be our favorite, not so much lately.

About a month ago. We go there there often (I have a home in SF). I am super surprised that it sucked for you. when you go in there next time....ask
for Alberto Diaz. I enclose a picture of him. Tell him that Farmer Deno sent you.
El Nido - used to be our favorite also.
Times of hardship will make these restaurants go on the cheap......most have done that in North Baja. I just go to a few for the time being.
