It would only be an issue if a cop found one while conducting a search of your vehicle, as can happen on occasion. Then the question of legality will
be trumped by one of desire.....does the cop want the baton for himself. If he does, it'll be deemed illegal.

Absolutely a 100% right on the money Dennis, I don't know and don't care if you only have a permit or citizenship in MX but in my book, you senior
are truly a MEXICAN by now.

These things are illegal in the nanny state of California. They are available in Ensenada in two sizes, both of which are pretty much worthless as
instinctive stick fighting weapons. Poorly balanced, bad weight distribution, too heavy, etc. They may work to fend off dogs as most dogs will back
away from a human with a stick by sight alone. I would consider carrying the lighter one in one hand while running but would hate to have to engage an
aggressive dog with it. The excess weight would make it much too slow. I would like to see someone make one that actually works.

An experienced fighter knows that when your opponent draws back to form a swing with a weapon....that is the time to strike as the opponents energy is
directed away from the "threat"....as well, once the "swing" is completed, the club holder is again in a defenseless "spent" position more often than
not. Collapsible wands tend to be ineffective when thrusting....
A "spearing" movement is often far more efficient than a swinging attack.....especially in close quarters
Don't believe everything you think....

Good for you mate !! Yep a Flare gun hurts like a SOB...you can also get in 25 mm cal. Yikes !! and a light glass bottle with half full of gas with
some rocks can defend you from a couple of the Rats...toss it at their feet, and point the flare gun...LOL I drove to panama and back and that was my
plan of defense beside my two Baja dogs

The only 'fraidy-cat' here is Goat himself, behind his keyboard and as usual dishing it out.
Every place, culture and human habitat on earth has certain unsavory characters that would love to remove your property/possessions/valuables for
their own gain, or cause physical harm due to excessive alcohol or drug consumption (OTHER than ganga). I'm too old for an old-fashioned
butt-whoopin', givin' or takin', but i'll damned sure try to stop 'em from achieving their goal. That ain't running away, goat. Your incessant
negativity is; from life. You must be a really miserable person inside; I'd ask you to quit insulting everyone on every post but that would be like
asking the Pope for free condoms. Speaking of, if you ever get one, pull it over your head and try it on for size.
post-script; here in the States I just pack Hard Iron. Much quicker, effective and persuasive, don't you think? Oops, I know you don't...... think,
that is.
