That may not be until Tom is back home. In the meantime here is the last Spot, at 4:19pm Sunday. Near the junction of Arroyo Santa Barbara and Arroyo
La Fortuna...

Monday Dec. 12, 2016
At 9:21 am, on the move...
At 9:50 am...
At 10:28 am ...
At 10:46 am...
Seems like slow going and that Tom is sending so many Spot signals out, I am guessing they are having a rough time?
At 11:35 am...
They are going back west now...?

The middle views are of Rancho San Miguel (now abandoned?), and the latter one is at the Ejido with the fancy building (long abandoned) and probably
neither was damaged by any floods. Lots to see of interest in that area, and maybe just poking along because of it?!?!?!?

Not sure... they know about the abandoned ejido. It was just north of their position.
I just added an 11:35 signal that shows them going back west.
Roy loves Los Corrales, so there must be a reason they at least don't go there to camp tonight?
They got back on track... at 12:52pm, south of Los Corrales (Punta San Juan Bautista)...

Not that it matters, but I don't think that the signal is at Pancho's camp. I followed a semi-dry wash out to the beach once, and could see his camp
a mile or so to the south.
I'll bet that they did the same thing...or I could just be wrong!
If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!
"Could do better if he tried!" Report card comments from most of my grade school teachers. Sadly, still true!

I agree with you, David---their position does seem to be slightly south of the Ejido. I am thinking that "Los Corrales" is pretty far south from
Rancho San Miguel, but I never actually made it down that far south. The position of Los Corrales on the Baja Atlas seems further south than your
posted aerial photo above?!?!? It would be a shame if they missed poking around at the Ejido as it is so interesting to see what the Mexican's did
there long ago, and the ag projects and systems. Perhaps they saw it all on a previous trip?
On Edit: I agree with AKgringo's last post, and know of the dry wash he speaks of, and camped in it once beside the SOC, and yes it is further north
than Ponchos as I understand it.

Sorry guys, but I will stand by my earlier location. Here is that Spot signal, zoomed in... right at Poncho's house.

At 1:20 pm, Tom and Roy, per a new Spot, are at that same beach about 3 miles north of the border with Baja Sur.... Bahía San Juan Bautista... just
south of Los Corrales (on the Almanac).

Thanks for the frequent updates. The temperatures dipped into the single digits over the weekend here in New England, but following their journey made
me feel a tad warmer.

Perhaps mid April? Or maybe we ought to hear from TW and Roy first?

Hello David, Thanks for doing this.
Can you put a reference point for El Gato and the point where they will
first reach the highway so we can have a reference for
their progress.

The red arrow is there location this morning on the trail. El Gato is the blue arrow. Hwy. 1 is off this map to the left...
On the 2009 Baja Almanac... The same arrows for their location now and El Gato. At the bottom is Hwy. 1, San Ignacio and a circle where they will
reach Hwy. 1...

They are probably in the area of 8 miles east of El Gato - in a challenging Trinidad Wash - then pretty good road for the 40+miles to Highway 1, then
another dozen miles west into San Ignacio - and room/showers!
