Looks to me like it's the same fish, different name. If you google golden jack or golden trevally virtually the same info pops up. Turns out the juveniles are actually popular aquarium fish.

Joe, how did you find that IGFA info? It was very informative and cool coming from a sport fishing perspective rather than a scientific perspective. I'd love to use that resource in the future if you can share.

I was in Bass Pro Shops yesterday and they have one of these about the size of the one you caught swimming in the aquarium that’s in the bar. Not as cool as catching one but pretty cool watching it swim around while enjoying a beverage :)
