Great suggestions everyone, keep them coming.

Someone asked what we'll be driving. A 4x4 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel (I know about the diesel down there, etc. and hope that it's true that they'll have ULSD by end of the year) with a Four Wheel Camper.

We have no issues with doing some off-road excursions although we're going solo so we'd rather stick to mild-ish 4x4'ing.

"Today the acting governor of Nuevo León urged the state’s citizens to avoid traveling to Reynosa. Manuel González said residents planning to travel to the United States should avoid using the highway to that city and travel via Nuevo Laredo instead.

He also offered a caution against visiting beaches in Tamaulipas. “. . . today it’s a state that has many problems . . . we ask our citizens to be very careful if they travel [there].”

If your going to reenter through Texas keep updated on that whole area of any entry point.

Good to know but since we have a few months before we go (8 ish) I hope things get better.
