The change is probably due to the legal action being taken with the Compadre Trail from Tecate to Ojos Negros. Last I heard they wanted $3000 US per
group to access it and this event having the deep pockets of Score attached, can't imagine they didn't want the whole bank but now they get nothing.
Maybe the people involved should think about firing the attorney who they have representing them.

Many of the ranchos now wanting 3 grand large groups to pass. Are being underscored by ranchos next door letting people pass for few bucks. Real mess
they are going again backwards pass san Vicente routes. That's is 6 races here in 3 months.
Is that excessive? When some routes are closed, does that mean cutting new routes through the desert? Or, are the areas open to racing just getting
smaller? Or, are the ranchos just getting over run with motor vehicle activity, racing and recreational? Maybe just going the way of California,
but about 50 years later?

For years there was only one race a year in back of town San Vicente 200. This year
all races not allowed to run road near beach. So last 6 races all pass within 10 min back of S.V . Using every dirt road they can find . As far as new
Gates in other places Ranchos have got a lawyer to allow they to block routes Charge fees. There plan not working as next-door rancho couple bucks
green light to pass. Why is this? 1 large tour groups out of control 60+ riders. 2 word of mouth to me direct from owners. Most Mexican riders not
respectful of riding past ranchos. Speeding racing not respecting slow down. I go to all the trouble to get to know rancho owners. Even help them with
there work. Only take few close friends on there ranchos after owners . Give me green light and keys to there ranchos. Even my close Mexican Amigo
riders do not share the respect I have to get this permission so sad I will not share with them. My thing is riding abandoned routes closed routes no
routes. Not on any map or GPS as that is what gets routes closed. Lucky I still have endless routes happy there are locked gates. As far as Score
destroying roads with there races. It is a no count if anybody has been off road in San Vicente beach side. The big mining company has torn down so
many Montanas. They have changed the sky line. There mining roads endless tal powder. Sadly 80% they find nothing and move to next Montana range.
Thank you, Larry! I know you see a lot more of what's happening than the rest of us. I'm headed back to Mike's this spring to do a good recon on the
creek, since it looks like this race is going to actually go up to RLT and around. I just hope it all goes well and everyone respects the wonders of
Baja.
Race goes again right past El Coyote my amigo Mike lives there 10 feet from race road. Has to move animals trucks cover up for dust storm. If I get
time in Nov before or after race. I will haul my bikes and camp trailer up there . Spend a week of fun riding and trailer camping. May join you John
if you find a good fishing hole
Significant observation for us Bronco fans is the front A arm suspension. Wonder if that feature will end up in production?
One thing unknown is the motor 4 cyl or 6 cyl turbo?

El Alamo was a huge gold mine and today a ghost town. If you know where Independencia is on Hwy. 3, just a bit north then take the graded road west a
few miles. See photos in my Trip #8 report from 2018.

Red arrow is El Alamo and blue arrow is Mission Santa Catalina. Independencia is between the two.
My first side trip was to check out El Alamo, a one-time huge gold mine town. The road is unsigned and the kilometer marker before it is only facing
the other lane and hidden by a shrub! It is Km 85 and the graded road to the west for El Alamo is at Km. 85.5.
The road is pretty easy to drive with just one huge puddle to cross. it is 9.5 miles to 'town' and it was pretty deserted! A real ghost town indeed. I
could not get near the mine structures because of closed gates.
I will post some photos to this point ...
El Alamo road
OK, so that is about it for El Alamo...
Next stop, the final Spanish mission in Baja California, Santa Catalina 1797-1839.
