If you're prepared for multi-days and you have your own water, you could just go south along the coast if you can't get a camping permit at Danzante. Pull out at La Paz, one of you bus back to Loreto to get the car. There's water at Agua Verde, Los Dolores, San Juan de La Costa. Awesome trip.
