If this is the January 1 collision, Sea Shepherd posted video of it on FB - the panga rammed into the Sea Shepherd. It came at it nearly head on,
made a hard turn and slammed into broadside.

All those examples bear no resemblance to this situation. Especially the last one, of course. Fish and Game wardens in Texas and Louisiana wouldnt be
so derelict in their duties of ENFORCING EXISTING FISHING REGULATIONS, the way Mexico does. Make that DOESNT.
All of this could have been avoided if Mexican fishing authorities weren't so easily corruptible in the past. Simply enforcing existing regulations
against illegal netting and the vaquita would probably be much more numerous than they are. And dorado. And marlin. And sardines. And shrimp.
But any person who has fished in Mexico or lived there for any length of time, knows this.
Person who only READ about Mexico from a news consolidator......not so much.

Sadly, some on this forum would rather agitate than cogitate.
You are spot on with your observations.
The Mexican gov has no one else to blame but themselves for the destructive elements that they have allowed to corrupt this great natural resource.
