I have an Iphone my daughter gave me and I only use it for face to face Dr visits and the weather otherwise I use my flip phone. Much easier to use and understand.

I should add that the Iphone is too big to carry around. No wonder people always has them in their hand.

Not my older Iphone 5SE, nice and compact. Don't you get tired of having to listen to voicemails, and then leaving voicemail in return? I find exchanging voicemails a ridiculous waste of time.

Siri: Howard's Donuts on Sunrise?
Me: YES!!
Siri: I found Howard's Donuts, it gets good reviews. Would you like to call or get directions?
Me: WTF?? "Direction please"
Siri: Where would you like to go?
Me, after pulling over: "you dumb piece of crap A.I. junk, HOWARD'S DONUTS!!
Siri, after a long pause: "I found one on Sunrise, gets good reviews, would you like to call or get directions?"
Me: (%^&*%$#@$%^*((&^%$#
Siri: "Sir, there is no need to talk to me that way"
Me: "why you sorry sack of ......" as I chuck the iPhone 12 mini that cost damn near $1K into the middle of Sunrise Blvd and watch an early morning cement truck roll over it.
Good, I hear the new iPhones are better anyway.

Takes very little for people to get plugged in. Not rocket science.

Truly a Class Issue.

I like my iPhone.
I have seen my friends copycat phones (Google, android, whatever).
I will stick with iPhone.
I also like my iPad.
Nice that they all work so well.
I don’t want a project, I just like my phone and tablet to work easy peasy.
Apple wins hands down.
Maybe you nerds will be happy with Android or whatever you call it these days….

Woke!

Circa 2010 I was in Barcelona at the biggest wireless convention in the world. About 50K ppl from 110 countries.

Samsung launched the first generation Galaxy Note at the event. From 2010 to 2018 Apple was on average 18-24 months behind Samsung on every smartphone innovation. And 36 months behind on screen size at the beginning.

Sticking with Apple because of their TV commercials left you holding the bag on dated tech.

Well, to my understanding the Iphones or "smart phones" are making people more stupid than smart. People rely on the "smart thing" and are foregetting to think. See the first example in this thread.
What exactly means SIRI??? Self Inviting Rediculous Invention, or what?

If you aren't using Google Photos and are instead using Apple's iCloud you are missing the mark.

The intelligence of Google Photos' search is incredible. I have about 100K photos uploaded and can locate the specific photo(s) I'm looking for in seconds/minutes. Facial recognition, geo-location, object type, animal type, text in the photo, color, etc.

You can literally type, coyote, Loreto, March, and it will pull up the specific coyote you were thinking about.

I have been sending up smoke signals this last week, and the only response I got was from Cal Fire!

I sure hope my freedom of speech argument holds up in court, :(

I just read a short article about social media addiction and at the end was an advertisement for online therapy.
