Yeah. Probably isn't worth explaining ...
It's a cheaper country. Same goods and services cost less - housing, food, clothes, car repair, healthcare - everything.

(Cow) Tipping Here's my formula
https://modernfarmer.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/the-tipp...
There’s no way one person could tip a cow. Two people? Maybe – but not in real world conditions.
Not saying all waitress' are cows but I've seen some big ones in my time.

So nothing . Cost of living is irrelevant to discussion and wasn't brought up by
me, in case if you haven't noticed.
Tips are a just convention, a custom. If you want to follow local customs - you do, if you don't, you don't.

Regardless of where I am I tip in cash placed in the hands of the person who provided the service. [Discretely if possible]

I have seldom tipped the gas pump attendants unless they washed the window. Now I'm wondering what the norm is? 20 pesos? a percentage?
I did notice prices in Baja are considerably more than elsewhere in Mexico, so thinking...what is the right amount?

I'll get to make that decision tomorrow on our way to the airport. I'm thinking the answer will be "how many pesos do we have left?"

Give whatever we have around. 40 to 50 pesos usually.
