Thomas, I'm not really to sure. I thought it was a green jack but the mouth and eye placement don't look quite right.

Igor thats the only fish I ever caught that could swim backwards with the exception of some large eels we caught in the Philipines at night on plugs,whats the name of these guys?:?:

By the way the dorsal fin of the bigjaws have some very painful stuff in them,careful when handling,can hurt a bunch!

Pipefish.

You can see them off the pier at Escondido. They have an itty bitty mouth. I don't know how they're caught at all. They're a kid's fish, really. You're right - it's a kick to see them swim backwards. They must have a low IQ.

This Yellow was in less than 2 feet of water. As it was the last day of our vacation last year, he got set free......

Sure was fun bringing him in though :yes:
