The Gringo Gazette will continue to be published by its legitimate owner, Carrie Duncan who also owns the southern edition. Nancy didn't leave for "professional" or "personal" reasons. She left for "legal" reasons. Nancy used to be a partner with Carrie and according to court papers filed by Carrie, Nancy fraudulently took the northern paper from her. Nancy of course denied it and it has been in the courts for the last 4 years or so. Well the courts finally awarded the paper to Carrie and I'll just let that fact speak for itself. Bye Bye Nancy!!!

Don't believe everything you read folks...

So we are in for some improvements, thats good.

Absolutely. The northern edition had become a joke as Nancy was so far out on the extreme fighting her personal legal battles on the pages of the paper. People were afraid to submit anything for printing as she would rewrite everything you wrote adding her editorial and extremely biased slant but then leave your name as the writer. We were all calling it the Gringo Enquirer. Anything would be an improvement...

That all is very interesting, now tell me why the southern edition writers all have fictitious names. :O:yes::O:yes:

The nom de plumes are sort of clever, in a hokey way--it's the little fingers instead of page numbers that I can't stand.

Page six was always worth a laugh with five fingers on one hand and the middle finger on the other.

Little (huge) ferna when 5 or 6 years old once told me; Daddy, did you know that this is not a finger (refering to the middle finger)?
What is it Fernando?
It's a bad word.

Naah, standard page numbers. Things that cause more attention to the medium than the message, disturb the reading flow.

Yeah...I know what you mean about the fingers but, who could take them seriously? If an article directed the reader to another page, more often than not, the continuation wasn't there and the search was on. So much for "reading flow." I guess that's the price we paid for a freeby.

If you actually read the story you would see that it is over a year and a half old and not related.
