Don't worry about the spaceing of the studs, it has been corrected. MR. Gypsy almost had a heart attack when he saw the pictures. The studs will be every 16".

WEll the project manager with the mostest (Shari), has sent us some pictures of todays progress. I must say, I would sell my left arm for a trip to Baja at the moment (know anyone who wants a left arm?!?)

OMG...the view from up there is to die for!!!! Unobstructed view of the sunrise AND sunset!!! NOw you can spy on us, jdtrotter, laurieboats AND the new cantina!!! YOu can see the bar (which they worked on for a week or so) on the 3rd photo down kinda in the middle...talk about queen of the castle! I want a 2nd floor now!
Don't worry about the lack of roof beams...it will be a lamina roof and the wood will be plastered over so it will all match.

for info & pics of our little paradise & whale watching info

LOL,

I'm sure if you , barbareno, and me yell loud enough, Todd will be able to get our slightly typsy bodies home!!!!

You can come on over and stay the night at the quest house any time... and look at the view........

I'd want a 2nd story deck on each side of the house in order to kick back and watch the sunrise and sunset. That way you get a view of the water while getting shelter from the wind regardless if the wind is blowing either direction. Lamina roof? is that good on a flat roof or they going to frame in a pitched roof? It has been totally fun watching this amazing thread, and I click on it every time I see it bumped to the top.

We are gonna have so much fun! :bounce:

This would be a great spot for me to learn how to make BajaGringo's Cadillac Margarita.

Bajagypsy can you imagine the star gazing and whale watching you can do from up there?

We'll be able to see the boys coming in from fishing...there will be lots of warning.

I second Pacoderm's idea regarding the decks. Your view will increase by tenfold, plus it will make for shade down below and more patio space for hanging out. This has been a fun thread, and we check on it too everytime it surfaces on the today's posts.

I bet you can't wait for your first night there!!!!

I agree that a second floor deck is cool and we can't wait to see our deck and sit and get some rays there. You can have a third floor deck on that place which would be really neat. Gypsy you never did answer me as to when you are going to get the compressor down there for everybody.
