Well, after reading the following posted on this PUBLIC forum, where people routinely ask how to live their lives, I thought a separate vacation would really open the gates for this guy to have a really great fishing trip. Nothing worse than someone along who's a drag on the itinerary.

she agreed to go fishing
She is used to nice but can also do the fishing thing
I am a Southern hick who likes to fish
wife to have access to a spa to have her nails and hair done
She is very patient with me
She LOVED Todos Santos
but does enjoy the finer things in life
expects a pricier hotel to deliver

I know more than a few couples where the guy would love to hang in Baja. Fish, drink offroad all the fun stuff...........but his esposa would not want a part of it. Baja (not counting the Chi Chi resorts of Cabo) does not appeal to a lot of people.

The guys in my scenerio have two choices! (well maybe a few more but you get my point.):coolup::lol:

well I met Mrs Jara in the flesh and she didn't strike me as being how we say down here "especial" I often get these kinds of requests by the husband of significant other regarding their wife or girlfriend and they may perceive her needs to be a certain way that communicates high maintenance when in fact they really aren't that way at all. this is how I saw Mrs Jara to be. She roughed it when they were stuck in the car with TS Julio that's commendible. sometimes one wishes to treat their other half to the finer things in life while on a restful vacation. that's fine they deserve it. She was a real sport and their Captain Eulogio enjoyed fishing with them too.

Baja's Own Terms?

Leave my wife home? Why? SHe has paid her dues. She is an immigrant from Mexico. Grew up dirt poor both in Mex then in California. Busted her butt and went to college. Graduated with honors. Complains not. She deserves everything she gets in life, hope it is all good. She is an awesome person who enjoys herself where ever she goes. She is a giver and helps may people.

What are Baja's own terms? I think Baja means something different to each person. We are very respectful people and enjoy every community we pass through, rich or poor. I enjoy having her around and the trips to the store are a small price to pay for having such an outstanding person in my life. Everyone should be so lucky as I.

Oh fercrissake - I don't have anything against people from the South - yes, I'm bored - I'm not trying to RUIN a thread - my comments were based on your comments - I felt sorry for you - a fisherman who has to wheedle his wife to let him fish - ok - that's probably going to rub you the wrong way too. I'm very happy for you and wife - really - your wife especially - overcoming her hardships in life. But you're still at it: "the trips to the store are a small price to pay" - always paying a price - always a compromise - that's marriage in a nutshell - but YOU express it in those terms, so I gotta think it's not sitting well with you 100% of the time. ok - I'm done here - have a nice life - both of you - and I sincerely mean it.
And I apologize if I stepped on any toes.

We use to stay at the Inn when it was the Diamond Eden. It was all inclusive , food, drink & water toys. 15 years ago we use to stay for 11 days for $600 including airfare from the States for two. It was a GREAT place. It was our fav until it changed hands.
