Yeah...My Mx ex in TJ used to joke about ice cream a few hours after devouring too many hot peppers.

So, that baño maker was a genius!

David, if you go out to San Juan de Dios again... could you take a photo of where the visita was... after crossing the arroyo, the road climbs up the other side (heading towards El Metate)... curves a bit to the left as it climbs, then curves back to straight at the top of the climb... the visita was to the right of the road about 50' from the road, and was about 90' long... going north-south.

Some 'farmer' plowed right over the top of it... covering up this historic mission-era site, per reports from others... but no photos have yet been posted of the plowed over field.

David K I did not go to El Metate this time but I think I took photos of the destroyed area when I went in December 2007. I will look in my 2007 photos and put it up when I get home.

You also asked me to check to see if they were going to have an El Rosario Festival during July 2009. I called the Delegacion today and asked the secretary if they were going to have one and she said she thought they would but did not have a date. The telephone number for the Delegacion El Rosario is 011 52 616 165 8665.

The bottom one is from Camacho's. Camacho was (is?) next door to San Lucas Cove. Pescador should recognize it easily. We met there. No, not in the bathroom - at the campground. The door at the left was to the shower room. Alex and I took showers there in December, 2000 and neither of us were happy about that. But there was no other choice.

Wait!!! Both are from Camacho's. The first picture is the front view of the side of the second one.

Camacho's is the campground with the painted tires leading to it from the highway.

Igor, you got me.

I can't fool you, my friend.

Camacho's RV Park it is indeed. As you said, it is right next San Lucas RV Park.

(Sometimes a more convenient launching ramp here, too...er...not to be confused with the banos.)

Igor..on your Up North fishing trips keep your eyes peeled for this classic island biffy I once came across. I've posted this classic before. The best view from an outhouse you will ever have...and...you can cast for northern pike!

My favorite bano was in Puertocitos when I first visited in 1977. I can't find the picture though. Was on old wooden outhouse with a halfmoon carved out. The sign on the door said, "bank of Puertocitos, deposits only".
