I used to skip over all cabo ron's Dibble but now i love it!!! he is so peed off! Mexico is not for everybody.

How long have you been there, Dennis?
And yes. The recession is one thing. The drug violence is another. But doing the flu thing, is really just jumping on. I worry that arising from
economic desperatation, the crime rate will soar. It truly saddens me, because I had so many great times there.
As for CaboRon- We've had a number of communications over time. I felt that you were, basically, a good guy. That being said, you need to get over
your Baja experience, or go back. Being on this board, posting from Las Vegas, should not be the opportunity for you to vent your spleen at all times.
I have to believe that beyond you initial hopes for a better life down South, you actually did have some good times.

I would be willing to bet that over ninety percent of those posting on this board do not live in mexico full time and don't really have a clue as to
how things really work in mexico.
And yes, I had many good experiences in mexico, however they were overrun by the corrupt police and the lazy workers that . even though they seem
to be breaking their backs, leave you with even more repairs when they are done because they have no certification .
My mainland friends claim that the baja mexicans are not worthy to receive one cent for their labors, and I agree.
And what the hell is the tip jar for ?? I think it is like "Galaxy Quest" in it's innocence and expecting something for almost nothing 
Have just signed a two year lease on a luxery condo in Las Vegas that is cheaper and nicer than that concrete block shiss hole that I rented in Todos
Santos.
BTW: the week before I left , I counted over three hundred for sale signs in Todos Santos ..... only because people think their places are worth
twice as much as any sane person would pay. Remember, it is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay. All that increased value is ONLY on
paper .... not worth a red cent 
I believe it is important for us to warn unsuspecting Americans about the lies, deceit, and pitfalls of owning or buying in la baja .... there is
far too much warm and fuzzy BS about living there, it is definately not for everyone .....
I will always treasure my life experiences whether they were rewarding or disasterous

300 For Sale signs? Is everything on sale?
Seriously, are you saying that so many folks are looking to profit by selling? Or are there many, who like yourself, found it not to be what you
thought (hoped) it was?
I let a deal go by in Todos back in 1989. Things were cheap then. Over time, I became amazed at how prices had been driven up in the area.
Right now, especially in the second home amrket, I can't see how prices can sustain. So, if most are discretionary sellers, I think they just better
get used to the idea that they aren't going to be selling their property any time soon.

It appears that at least half of the for sale signs are on spec homes .... I sincerely wish that those who speculate on the home market eat their
shorts.
And as for the 10% grab on sales ... will I wish most realtors the very worst of it

Dennis- even 20 years ago, you were practically in the middle of nowhere; not to mention 1975. I guess you're not into tract housing and big box
stores??

Not really in the wilderness at that time. In fact, in Playas Ensenada, my neighbors all had newer cars and American Express cards. What they
didn't have was mortgage payments. As today, when most Mexicans buy a house, they buy it without the help of banks.
I love Costco and Home Dpo....How can you say that?
