Now that sounds good. It's 94 in Vegas today. I think it is about time for one of those with a nice cold beer.

I'm having my version of a Mint Julep made with Maker's Mark and fresh mint from the back yard. We had a brief episode of Santa Ana winds this
afternoon and the Julep is hitting the spot.

I have no idea what this is called but I "invented" it at Lake Powell one summer..........we call it the Powell c-cktail.
vodka, cranberry juice and a couple splashes of Hansen's Mandarin Lime soda on the rocks.
Fizz is nice when it's hot out...............

El Jefe, I made one of these drinks last weekend (by chance thought I'd try the Toronja with my Vodka) Had no idea it had a name. I quite liked the
flavor, thanks for giving us the name.

Bajajudy....Yes, that is fine Nicaraguan Rum. For Mojitos, try the 4 year, Extra Dry White. You can get it at La Europea right there in San Jose
across the way from the Scotia Bank and down the street from Waldo's.
I'm drinking 12 year old Flor on the rocks as we speak! |

famous shooter drink i learned at a yearly sinko day mayo party in AZ:
San Juan Hooker.
big shot of frozen hornitos or sauza "Azul"
chase with 1/2 shot of chilled dill pickle juice with a drop of any good pepper sauce like cholula or - .
sounds odd but it is an amazing after taste to the cactus juice.
alternatively - chase with sangrita and pickle juice mix.
i like the straight pickle juice best. then bite off a piece of a vlassic spear.

yeah, and it wants to be good sipping stuff too.
the chasser neutralzes the tequila on contact, why i don't know but you still get the flavor of the good tequila going down but no unpleasant after
effects to the extent there are any - depending on choice of cactus juice.
the 2 flavors pair nicely with each other.
dare you to try it.
all i know who WILL drink shots and separately like pickles agree it is amazing chaser effect.
