Roger,
You seem to be a pretty bright guy (anyone shooting prairie chickens in Theodore, Saskatchewan is a bright guy.... ).....BUT....why in hell would you pursue more Mexican dentists??? I know there must be some good Mexican ones, but I imagine you can afford a more reputable dentist recommended by friends north of the border.

I wish you the best of dentist-luck :saint:, and a strong recovery...

but dentists north of the border make you go back for this and that and the other and usually don't just take care of stuff fast .... at least that has been my experience.

my dentist in TJ has been my dentist for over 20 years, he still takes great care of my teeth, now takes care of Les's teeth, he took care of my 2 kids teeth and another friend has been going to him for as long as I have.

he is just amazing ... I can't recommend him enough.

motoged...you're right, I can afford any dentist I want..and can also afford an adventure to Alagodones to find a diamond in the rough.

It's ALL about the journey, don't you think? (Forgive me, Mike W..my dentist in Seattle)

Hah...I can just see most of our US and Canadian dentists hawking thier skills like the community of Algodones.

I will let you know how my Algodones adventure turns out...and don't worry, there are many more good dentists here than bad ones. I'm the guest of ranchers (Baja amigos) who have been using them for years and recommend them highly. Like BajaBlanca said...they have built up a rapport and trust that is invaluable.

Prairie chickens in ND & Sask...ah ..now that brings back memories driving through our fields and my Dad telling us to ..

SHEEEEEEEEESH!!!!

Just like oladulce, with years in the ER and ICU I have placed, adjusted, and removed all sorts of tubes you described. According to your description, you are a man who is sooo fortunate to be alive! I am also grateful for staff at Scripps...................... And you have described that smell completely. You NEVER forget that smell!.............................. You must have survived the last part of your drive because you can do it with your eyes closed because you have done it so often!!........................ Take care Roger.

do you know what is strange as well ? Les and I took a trip xmas this year to el norte. we ate at the same places and the exact same food. i got sick - food poisoning (just a slight case compared to yours, Roger) and Les did not get sick at all .... and I can't even guess as to what it was that made me feel so bad :(
