Congratulations on getting the losa done Shari and Juan; I know this will be a great improvement to your home and lifestyle. Unfortunately, pouring a
losa can be a dangerous job with the height and exposed rebar / armex to trip over. I do sincerely hope that the accident just turns out to be a minor
thing....

Very glad that was the extent of this !

all is well...Roberto's angels must have caught him and softened the blow...not even a bruise...whew. After the roof was poured I sighed a big breath
of relief that all went well...roberto fell when he came back later in the day to water it down....was yanking on the hose and lost his balance....
sheesh...
Glad you liked your present Mike...cant wait to see that slide show!!!

This is good news, he better keep the yanking on the hose story to himself!
Ok, ok, I know.
Looking forward to more pics. Great project. Can't believe how fast that was! An awesome addition.

Shari-Your place is looking good. This brings back so many good memories of when I built my place in 1971-72 on the other side, Coyote Bay. This was
just before the road was in which made it a little more difficult. But it looks very similiar with the blocks and foundation. We are still enjoying
it 40 years later as I'm sure you will yours. Good luck.

'71-'72? Wow... just as the paved road was coming north from La Paz... You must have known J.W. Black ('Black Jack') the inventor of so many off road
machines used by Erle Stanley Gardner in the '60's!? Pompano often talks of him, and helped me talk to J.W. by phone a few years ago when I was
searching for Choral Pepper's lost mission (J.W. was there as well).

Yes, I knew J.W. Black. He and his father were camped nearby one time I was there, mid or late '70's. I had my 17 foot Boston Whaler (1965 model)
anchored in front of the house. An offshore wind came up during the night and the anchor dragged. I got up early and as usual checked on the boat and
it was gone. I ran down the beach and J.W.Black offered to take me out and look for the boat. We did and found it just before it was about to go
ashore on a rocky point. Thanks, J.W. , I still have that boat and use it every time we go down. On another trip there, his father died. J.W. was
said to have put him (or left him in) the sleeping bag and brought him home.

we have to wait 2 weeks for the roof to set before removing the wood braces so we can then plaster the walls, put the floor in...then the windows etc
etc. Meanwhile we are doing rock work on some walls around the property.

Abalone season ended this week...whew...now Juan can get back to the rock pile in earnest!!! To get his creative juices flowing, he made me this
lovely planter outside the rock rooms.
It's been a wonderful week of advancement on the addition too as it is now plastered inside and out...woo hoo...ready for windows and door now.
but today is for domingiando...off to a secret beach for some fishing and relaxing...have a great sunday everyone.
