That last crash was John Swift in the 1995 Baja 500 race south of Ojos Negros. His co-driver was Dino Pugeda and was hurt real bad. Here is a post on
Race-Dezert.com from his sister.

Hello my name is Cindy Pugeda...My brother Dino Pugeda was John Swift's bestfriend and co-driver. Dino was involved in a tragic racing accident June
3, 1995 in Baja California. Dino is currently in a vegetated state in Camarillo, Ca at a extended care unit. I just wanted to thank everyone who knew
my brother for their support, thoughts and prayers.

I don't have patience for fishing, watching Football, Baseball, NASCAR, and a whole slew of sports. I do have a passion for off-road vehicles, great
taco spots, and Latin music.
