I never knew about the N word. I am the last to scream about political correctness, but that's virtually unforgivable. It's 2012, there's no place for that word.

The use of a word justifies condeming someone to the 9th circle of hell? How 'bout judging a person by their actions rather than their words. This political correctness garbage is getting old and mouldy.

Did you read what I just got done posting? Using the N word is way out of the realm of the whole "political correctness" debate. I can hardly think of anything more offensive or ignorant than using that word in the year 2012. It's totally disgusting and inexcusable. If a person uses that word, they're no friend of mine and it's clear evidence of a disturbed individual. Maybe I'm more sensitive than most cause I lived in TN and Alabama for years and got my fill of ignorant trailer trash who are fascinated by that word.

LaPazGringo, You punched your political correct card. Feel better? By the way, I know a lot of people that live in trailers, "trash" isn't a good word to describe them. Most of 'em are good, hard-working people. They aren't living in "Public Housing", which is politically correct and they're trying to improve their situation in life. But, it's politically correct to call people living in trailers "trash"? And you call them "ignorant"?

You got it....and ya know what? That's exactly the way I feel when I hear the word, "Gringo."
I'll just stop right there and give up the stage to you so we can hear all the big differences in the words.

By the way....... you should have hung out in better bars. Educated people don't so often use that "N-Word" out loud.

There's a big difference in people who live in trailers and trailer trash. Thanks for your opinion though! It means allot to me.

In the field of Skeeterology, I've always had a question about the two people who posted under that name. There have always been a certain percentage of posts which were properly spelled, punctuated, and demonstrating a good control of the language. I remember thinking "who the hell wrote this for him". My sense is that when this occurred, there was no attempt to "dumb down" any part of the post. If the real Skeet could do that, then most of the posts were by a guy who was trying to appear ignorant, and occasionally forgot.

So what I am hearing from you is this..........."It's okay to use the "N" word at any given time or place".

Let's see you use that word here in the next post you do.................

DK if you are going to be a moderator for this forum, why doesn't Doug make it official.

Who said anything about moderating... how about manners, friendliness, humor? Just trying to be a good citizen of Baja Nomad should prevent the need for moderating...

It would be nice to see the many many Nomads who have left here because of the amount of rudeness, return... As it is, without any common sense moderating to keep things civil, we will continue to loose members. Only the few of us die hard Baja Nomads remain with a bunch of 'silent' members (lurkers) who would otherwise join in the conversation if it weren't for the fear of being attacked here.

I hope that people will stay or join because this is the #1 source for Baja information, discussion, photos and news. Doug... we hope you aren't giving up or tired of the place.
