You must be referring to maximum towing capacity and not curb weight. |

what they used to be.

I'll take dull over the "excitement" of frequent repairs any time!

"Only a tool"?? I think to many people a "car" (whatever they choose to drive) is more than just a tool otherwise we wouldn't need so many to choose
from....to many people what they drive is an extension of themselves. If a car were just a tool why would so many people having that "mid-life crisis"
go for something "exciting"? Cars can be dull or they can be exciting...just depends on the person's perspective. I think that my Toyota FJ "fits" my
personality. And when I bought it...(The bright Voodoo Blue one) my friends all thought that it was the perfect rig to fit my personality, too! I love
it and love driving it places...plus it just looks damn good no matter what environment I'm in!!
Whenever I hear that rainy, chill wind blow. I think it may be time to head for Mexico. Tengo que obedecer mi corazon!

Thanks, Grace------we all DO look at things differently. For me, a "car" is only a means to get to somewhere I want to go with competance and
efficiency, and the "excitement" is realized when I get there. But I do love to drive, and always have, but it is entirely because of what I can see
outside my vehicle that "I love".
We are all different. (Thank Gaud!!!)

I agree with Barry on this one. A car is just a vehicle to get you from point A to point B.
All these images of cars raised on 3 wheels at provocative angles with their undercarriage exposed seems like some sort of soft porn.

I have often said "if it does not go 160 mph or have 4 wheel drive it's just transport." I drive a lot 35k + per year. The daily drivers are just part
of the overhead. To think that what one drives is a reflection of ones self is novel. I laugh at a neighbor that has a MB and BWM who rents a
house.

To many a vehicle is just a tool to get from point A to B. To others it shows their personality. To others it is an extension of themselves. It can
have a different meaning to a truck driver, "Geddy Up Go". I remember when I lived in the mid-west where everyone on the hwy used CBs and many if not
most of the handles reflected the vehicle, I was the Blue Ghost driving a blue van.

This thread deserves to die............Toyota is Toyota. Anyone denying that is not in reality. Pick and choose the low end models............that's
your choice/reality.............but I love my Tundra and my Camry. Never had any problems like I did with my Isuzu Rodeo. Loved that car also.......

Kinda like tires, The reason I love mine is the same reason you hate it. Add, I my justified decision (can't afford or don't like)and I will argue it
to death, and kick it around some more to prove my point.
If it get's me there and back without a problem I like it. If it does not I learn a bit. I love it when a local passes me when I'm stuck, with a
small 4 door POS and I'm all decked out. I need to be put in my place.
Putting me in my place is done with action and back up, not posting up on Nomads
