Be careful of fireworks purchased in Baja that have a label that says "This side towards enemy".

My two dogs made it through another 4th. Only damage is a broken table lamp that got pulled down by one of them getting snagged by the cord as he
tried to dig through the tile floor under the table. I was worried about the old guy, he was freaked, shaking and panting.
I bet the San Diego animal control centers are busy today with spooked animals and people looking for them.

None of my mostly senior neighbors were setting of illegal fireworks, however I am only a half mile or less from the county fairgrounds where the main
event happened!
My girl barked at the first few explosions, so I took her outside and we were able to see a few of the higher skyrockets that rose above the tree
level. She seemed satisfied, went back in and laid down, only raising her head again during the grand finale!
Fireworks, no big deal. Vacuum cleaner, now there lies a monster!

If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!
"Could do better if he tried!" Report card comments from most of my grade school teachers. Sadly, still true!

Yep, mine would go ape chit and attack the vacuum cleaner head for 13 plus years, you’d think they would learn or get tired of it... nope.

A Moderate 4th
For a change, I didn't need to "Dime Out" a single neighbor.

Go to the vet and get some doggy Xanax. Put them in a room that is the most quiet from outside noises. Turn the TV up.
They'll be fine next time.
