Will that "Good girl" sit, and stay on command?
If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!
"Could do better if he tried!" Report card comments from most of my grade school teachers. Sadly, still true!

Yay, Fud! I always thought the "Fud" Mexican brand name was amusing.

We watch a Mexican food cooking show on PBS sponsored by FUD -- always enjoyed that.

I got NAILED by one of these guys. A deep puncture wound in the back of my heel. Excruciating pain. The worst I ever felt. I went to the clinic in
Mulege, and they immediately treated it with hot water immersion and then several lidocaine injections around the wound. This one is swimming in a few
inches of water right at the shoreline.

An ouch I have not had the opportunity to experience.
Is shuffling one's feet in shallow water really a preventative to not getting nailed?
I hope so. I know I have shuffled my feet over the decades in shallow near shore waters.
Tread lightly as you can, is wise for so many of our life's pursuits.

Shuffling your feet helps prevent getting stung. I had light fabric water shoes on, and the stinger went through the fabric above the rubber sole. It
probably would have been worse if I hadn't had them on. If you can see the bottom, look where you step. Unfortunately, they nestle in the sand and can
be hard to see. I was in thigh-deep water in Bahia Concepcion.
If it happens again, I'll immerse my foot in the hottest water I can tolerate and then maybe go to a clinic. The lidocaine injections helped a lot,
but so did the hot water.

Also amusing is a brand of candy called "Kranky" and of course Bimbo bread.
Also amusing is when Mexicans sport tee shirts with English words on them that they have no idea the meaning of. There is a middle-aged woman who has
a second hand clothing stall in my town that I used to peruse. One day she was sitting in her chair wearing a tee shirt that said "Please turn me
over before I choke on my own vomit". I asked her if she knew what it said, she said no. I explained it, she got a horrified look on her face, jumped
up and started rifling through her tee shirts to find one to change into.
