Recently, Mr. Ryan, from Ryan Airways, has been visiting La Paz because he is planning to start a new low cost airline in this part of the world together with some Mexican investors. Ryan Air has a very good reputation in Europe, where they operate. Frequently I was flying Ryanair, like from Barcelona to Paris, a two hours flight, for 9,99 Euros which is less than 15 USD. Unbelievable prices when you are able to book in time. They use brand new planes, those fabulous Airbuses, and have a perfect record flying on time. It seems Ryanair Mexico will start in September 2006. MSK

Actually, Ryanair is an all-Boeing operator and has one of the world's largest 737 fleets in place and on-order. The following is from their web site.

By the way, the Mexican skies are likely to be filled with numerous low-cost-carriers in addition to Ryanair. Avolar, Click and Volaris are among these.
